Gardena Municipal Bus Lines (GMBL) was launching a new fleet of buses and wanted to build a brand that attracted and increased ridership. As part of a larger effort to rebrand the Gardena Municipal Bus Lines (GMBL) lead by Pulsar Advertising, we conducted a series of focus groups with riders and non-riders of GMBL. The research was to gauge: (1) awareness and perceptions of GMBL, including perceived strengths and weaknesses; and (2) to test alternative logo designs and name selections.
